Errin brings a wealth of experience as a Youth Worker, Social Worker, Youth Educator, and Lecturer in Te Pōkaitahi Tikanga and Te Pōkaitahi Reo. Her diverse expertise informs her leadership and commitment to community empowerment.
Based in Manurewa, Errin has been a dedicated youth worker, supporting rangatahi in achieving their goals and fostering innovation. As a founding member of Te Pua Ngā Maara’s ohu (founding whānau), she has served as a kaitautoko, facilitator, and cherished aunty since the organisation’s inception.
Errin excels in governance, strengthening her role within Te Pua Ngā Maara through strategic leadership. She takes pride in her “MVP rubbish picker-upper” title, earned during community give-back days. Above all, she is a master of tūhonohono, forging meaningful connections between people, kaupapa, and the taiao.
“Whakapapa, waiata, pūrākau, and wānanga inspire me to share the wonders of our world. The taiao shapes our worldview, principles, practices, language, and lifestyle. By learning, working, and playing in these spaces, we nurture the well-being of ourselves and our future mokopuna. Taiao Ora, Mauri Ora!”
