Mahi Tiaki Taiao ki Matukutuureia
Te Pu-a-nga Maara now has an agreement in place to do restoration mahi for Matukutuureia. The area is located near the mouth of Puhinui stream and includes what remains of our Maunga, historic stone fields, two small reporepo, and the outer reaches of a whitebait spawning ground. We are excited to get mahi started at our Matukutuureia site and to continue in supporting Mana Whenua aspirations for not just Te Whakaoranga o te Puhinui but for Te Whakaoranga o Ngaa Matukurua too.
